Frequently Asked Questions

Style and vision

What is your photography style?

Over the years of our duet wedding photography we’ve developed our personal style that is described as emotional elegant storytelling with gentle notes of fine art and cinematic photography.

What do you usually photograph on wedding day?

Most of the day we prefer to tell the story of your day, to document the wedding day as it is but from our creaitve point of view. Wedding has its rules and in some ways it’s a very planned event, you know what’s going to happen, you know when people are going to do what, but at the same time different unplanned things can happen. Every wedding is completely different, every couple adds something new to the mix, because every wedding couple is unique with their own character, behavior, feelings. We do really love being there to capture and telling the story of their wedding day. You won’t find us running around telling people where to stay or what to do, holding flashes or umbrellas. We prefer capture the events as they happen, but with the help of our unique vision and prism of feeling the right moment, light, composition. While we are very unobtrusive in our coverage of your wedding day, we do believe that there is a time and place for gorgeous, fine art and cinematically orchestrated images of the bride and groom. We tend to make such photographs during morning getting ready time adding some boudoir moments (at the request and wish of the bride). We’d like about an hour alone with you both (if it’s possible) sometime during the day to create some images of you without your wedding party or guests looking on, the best lighting hours tend to be during the final moments of sunset. We also strongly believe in the importance of the wedding details; from your cake to your shoes and jewelry. We pay special attention to your family, relatives, friends, we also will capture them laughing, smiling, dancing, drinking, and having a great time during your wedding day.

I do not like posing for photos, do I have to pose?

Decision about posing for photos or not is completely up to you. Elegant storytelling photography forms a main part of what we do, that is why for the majority of the day we hope you’ll forget we’re there as we stand back & capture all the wonderful moments as they appear. However, we adore shaping more orchestrated fine art shots & think it is important to take the time for some gourgeos couple photos, taking inspiration from fine art & cinematic photography for natural portraits.  We prefer organising this as simple a process as possible, with the aim of achieving natural looking results that you will treasure for years to come.

Do you take group family and guest shots?

Certainly we do take group family and guest shots, it can take about 10-20 minutes, depending on the number of guests on your wedding. We can help you plan the correct amount of time to allocate to this section

Do you always shoot weddings together?

We shoot weddings both in duet and apart. About 90% of the time we are able to do as we wish and enjoy capturing weddings together. There are some rear occasions when only one of us will be available and you will be informed beforehand.

What kind of retouch and colour tone you will make to our wedding photos?

All wedding photographs you will get will be colour corrected and close up portraits retouched. Also, we will select some photos for black and white conversion (around 30% of all wedding photos you will get), and we will send you BW digital photographs as well.
